Reviewers praised the game for its innovative combat mechanics, complex character skill system, and large modding community, but criticized it for its low graphics quality, as well as its repetitive dialogue and locations. Mount & Blade initially received a mixed critical reception. The game was fully released on September 16, 2008, though alpha versions of the game were available prior to the full release.
The game was developed by Armağan Yavuz and his wife İpek Yavuz, the founders of TaleWorlds Entertainment. In the game, the player controls a customized character to battle, trade, and manage a fief in the medieval land of Calradia. I modded the program to give me 113 bullets instead of the usual 20. Once I get the number close to 150, I will do a full attack and charge in. When you get knocked out, you will lose 6-12 morale, but the garrison is now down 25-50 troops. I will usually lose around 10-20 men from being shot by the enemies on the wall. I can usually kill around 25-50 troops this way before I get knocked out. I then move in and out of the hole in the wall by moving sideways and shooting. I then take out any tower defenders that can shoot me.always crouch when you are doing this. I then walk to the enemy wall around the the hole in the wall defending with my shield as I go. I am usually equipped with a dutch double barrel pistol and a shield that has around 20 resilience.
As soon as the fight begins, I have everyone stay there and spread out (F1,F1 then 1,F2,F6.2,F2,F6.3,F2,F6) and I have the cav units shoot if they can (3,F4,F2). Another option is to trade morale for whittling down the garrison.
If you are lucky enough to get the "break in" option, always use that.
